Angela Evelyn Bassett, an American actress, is known for her roles in film and television in the latter half of the 1980s. The actress has won numerous accolades like two Golden Globe Awards, and sixteen NAACP Image Award. Her work has been recognized for TV and film since the late 1980s she's been awarded numerous awards like two Golden Globe Awards and sixteen NAACP Image Awards in addition to nominations for two Academy Awards and seven Primetime Emmy Awards. Bassett grew up in Winston-Salem North Carolina, raised by her aunt and Uncle in New York New York. When Bassett was about five the family were moved from the city of St. Petersburg, Florida to stay with their mother who had divorced from their father. Bassett was a fan of James Earl Jones in John Steinbeck's Of Mice and Men play while she was still in high school, and realised that she was an actor and would like to be doing. Yale University New Haven Connecticut in which she graduated with her bachelor's in African American and master's degrees (1983). In 1997, she got married to Courtney B. Vance who was an actor in the same group. Qualification: B.A. The Yale School of Drama awarded the degree of Master of Fine Arts in African American Studies to Angela Basssett in the year. She attended the following schools: Jordan Park elementary school, Disston Middle School for seventh graders, Azalea Middle School for 8th & 9th grades and Boca Ciega High School. Angela Bassett currently works in one of her lead characters, Ramonda, in the action adventure film i.e. Black Panther: Wakanda Forever (2022).
